The Capçaleres del Ter i del Freser Natural Park is a protected area located in the eastern Pyrenees of Catalonia, within the Ripollès region. Covering over 14,000 hectares, the park encompasses the high mountain areas where the Ter and Freser rivers originate, offering a breathtaking landscape of peaks, glacial valleys, and alpine meadows.

Geography and Landscape: The park is characterized by its rugged terrain, featuring iconic peaks such as Pic de Bastiments (2,881 m), Puigmal (2,913 m), and Gra de Fajol (2,714 m). It also includes deep valleys like the Vall de Núria and Coma de Vaca Valley, as well as glacial lakes, such as Carançà and Ulldeter.

How to Get to the Capçaleres del Ter i del Freser Natural Park from Vic
By Car:
Route to Setcases and Vallter 2000:
- From Vic, take the C-17 road towards Ripoll.
- In Ripoll, take the C-26 road towards Sant Joan de les Abadesses.
- Then, merge onto the C-38 road towards Camprodon.
- Once in Camprodon, follow the signs to Setcases via the GIV-5264 road.
- From Setcases, continue on the road until you reach Vallter 2000 ski resort, which is located within the park.
Route to Queralbs and Vall de Núria:
- From Vic, take the C-17 road towards Ripoll.
- In Ripoll, continue on the N-260 road to Ribes de Freser.
- From Ribes de Freser, follow the GIV-5217 road to Queralbs.
- In Queralbs, you can take the rack railway (Cremallera de Núria), which will take you to Vall de Núria, located within the park.

- From Vic, take a Rodalies de Catalunya train (R3 line) towards Ripoll or Puigcerdà.
