This stage is mountainous, with a lot of steep ups and downs. The ascent to the Sanctuary of Bellmunt is a classic hike, both for the beauty of the landscape and also for its progression through the mountains and then the path climbs upwards. The views it offers from its heights are a sheer privilege: Montserrat, Turó de l’home, Puigmal, and the plana de Vic shrouded in fog in winter.

The descent to Bisaura, over very special terrain, is through a splendid shadowy valley with a waterfall at the end. What more could we ask for?
